Dr. Chris Kennedy from Beverly Hills designed the changes made to this 1870
barn.
The work started in 1998 and was finished in 2000. The
building was designed with
12-inch
walls and unique windows that let in lots of light, but the slant prevents
the
sun from
shining directly in the building in summer.

Top left: Dr. Painter loves the outdoors and had this room designed with a
view.
This is his main operatory and provides an abundance of natural light.
Bottom left: This comfortable, relaxing room in Dr. Painter's office was
originally a silo.
He had the 30-foot silo lined with Cyprus wood and topped it with a glass lid ,
then
installed skylights in the main part of the barn for natural lighting.
Top right: Dr. Painter's waiting room includes leather chairs, with a
wood-burning
stove and refreshments.
